Add captions to your ProPresenter setup using CaptionKit displays

Set up a display and get the link

  • If you don't have a display set up yet, learn how to create one here - Creating a display

  • Once you have a display set up, copy the link by clicking the πŸ”— icon, under the display tile.

Add the display to ProPresenter

CaptionKit uses ProPresenter's Web Fill feature, to display the live caption webpage within a presentation. This setup is quick and easy to configure and ensures that minimal changes are needed to your ProPresenter presentation.

  • In your ProPresenter presentation, create a new slide or select an existing slide to add captions to, then right click and select Edit slide

  • Click the plus button in the top left corner of the edit area, then select Web from the dropdown.

  • This will add a web fill block to your slide. Grab the corner and resize the block to fit the full size of the slide.

  • In the right hand sidebar, paste the display link you copied earlier into the URL field, below the Web dropdown. After a moment, your caption display will load.

A couple of last notes

To test a display with example test, add ?text=Your example text to the end of your display URL. This will ensure you always have test on screen to test with.

Once you're done testing, just remove everything after the ? to ensure your display shows only live caption text.
