If you use NDI to manage audio on your local network, you're just a couple of steps away from using it in CaptionKit. Here’s how to get it working.
Step 1: Get the Free NDI Virtual Input Tool
By default, your computer doesn't see NDI streams as a regular audio input. You'll need a free app from NDI to bridge the gap.

Step 2: Select Your NDI Source
After installing, run the NDI tool and select the network audio stream you want to use from its menu.
Step 3: Choose it in CaptionKit
Now, open CaptionKit and go to your audio settings. In the input device dropdown, you'll see a new option: NDI Audio (Virtual). Select it, and you're all set!

Our team is broadcasting from the NDI HX Camera app on a phone. Our Mac is running the NDI Virtual Input app to catch the signal, allowing CaptionKit to select it as an audio source.
