Setting up displays

Displays allow you to show styled captions in your presentation software, like OBS, ProPresenter or EasyWorship. You can create multiple displays, each with their own style and settings.

Set up a display

• In the CaptionKit Dashboard (opens in a new tab) click on the icon to open settings
• Navigate to Displays and click Create new display
• Give your new display output a name and click Confirm, it will then appear in the display grid
• Click on your newly created display to open the style panel. This panel will show a preview of your display along with the edit options on the right hand side.
• Use the style panel to edit your layout and click Save to confirm.

Every display can be edited to update the layout, background, text size, colors and more. Displays also support transparent backgrounds, to allow for overlaying in your presentation app.

Use your display

Each display has a unique URL that you can use to show the captions in your presentation software. Click the icon to copy the URL to your clipboard.

This URL can be pasted into OBS, ProPresenter, EasyWorship or any other presentation software that supports displaying web pages. It can also be used directly on a smart TV web browser or computer to show the captions on-screen.
